Do any of you remember?

How long does it take from the time you file the I-600A to the time when you receive the approval to get USCIS fingerprinting done? Just wondering...

We applied Feb 1, and the approval is dated Feb 12. We received it on the 15th. But, I think they can take up to 90 days. Good Luck!

In our state it took about 2 weeks. But I hear each state is different.

It's true! You really do forget the pain!!!

It's so funny how all of that is such a blur. I do remember, the second time, we had to drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up our college-aged daughter to be fingerprinted, and then get to the fingerprinting joint back up this way before it closed--we got there 5 minutes before closing! Then, totally exhausted, we drove the 5 hr round trip again to return said daughter to college. In the rain.

It was very exhausting yet exhilarating as well--it's a happy memory! But I don't remember the timeline that got us to that day. DH isn't home, or I'd ask him, I bet he remembers!

Meanwhile, it's all about the waiting...

In Wa. state you can just walk in to the main USCIS office any morning at 9:00 a.m., file your I600, and get your fingerprinting done right then.

It was a 5 hour drive each way to the main office, but well worth the trip.
