Thumbs Up!

Found all over the little corner of the blogosphere I haunt is the announcement of the new Catholic Media Review blog. A group of bloggers, including Julie D., from Happy Catholic, will provide their take on current releases with an eye toward Church teaching. Looking for a place to see if a movie would be a good fit for your family? Look no further, here it is. Don't forget to bookmark it!

Much success, ladies. And a great big thanks for taking on this endeavor!

Online Bible Study

Beginning Monday, Catholic Exchange starts "Renewing Your Christian Self" a ten-week, online study designed for women, who may be unable to attend a regularly scheduled study.

From their site:

From the website: "Are you interested in participating in a bible study but don't always have the time to attend a regularly scheduled meeting?

Would you like to connect with women around the world and share insights, support, encouragement, and opinions?..."

Laura,
I'm thinking of doing it as well. However, (and that's a big however) I lead our parish's women's bible study (which meets monthly) and my husband and I co-lead our parish's couples bible study (also once a month--which is a guaranteed date at least once every thirty days!) So, I need to check out the details a little further before signing up, but I am leaning towards trying it.

Let me know if you do...
God Bless,
Jane

Wow! that is awesome that you lead the women's bible study group and that you and your husband lead the one for couples.

We do our family bible study with the Daughters of St. Paul using Lectio Divina. It is a training ground for us to perhaps lead a group someday. We had done something like this as a couple in the past, but because our children are older now, we are leaning towards serving as a family, which was my vision when my children were younger.

I am proud of you and your husband! God bless you abundantly!

Easter:-)
