In Brief

I'm fighting a little cold and I need to be at school again tomorrow for the sale, but...a brief update--we had already raised approximately $230.00 when school ended today. We're hoping to raise even more!!! We also had some donations of socks, underwear and toothbrushes/floss made to take with us. There were also a few families interested in adoption information. So, it seems like so far--so good! The sale ends tomorrow night so I hope to have some more news when it ends. Before I turn in, however, I wanted to share this interesting article my brother forwarded to me. It has to do with some changes in international adoption policy according to the Hague Convention. It gives a lot of great information, particularly for people just starting the adoption process or those who might be considering it. That's it for now. G'night.

Wow! $230! That's great. I hope you feel much better in the morning. We'll do our best to sell more stuff tomorrow night. (P.S. Thanks a lot for selling Baye that loud musical rabbit bank today during the sale. Baye LOVES it, but Brett and I decided that it's a sacrifice for us to have it in our house. Ha! If only I could get him to sacrifice it back, then another student could buy it.... j/k)

J, Sorry about the rabbit bank, I tried to convince him of other choices to no avail. When I saw him going out at the end of school he was still playing it with a smile ear to ear!
A, I'm okay, really, just tired with a little head cold/cough. Believe it or not, I know the glue answer. Besides the obvious gopherwood, Noah used pitch and bitumen to seal the ark and make it waterproof. It's good to be a wealth of such useless information.

I can't believe you knew what Noah used to build the Ark. Wait - yes, I can. I must have been sick the day they reviewed that. ;-)

Hope you feel better.
