So are they sweet pickles or dill? How many pints did you make?

They're dills. I had two bags of pickling cukes (14 total cukes) from our local farmer's market. I was hoping to do a batch of each (dill and sweet), but there simply weren't enough. I only ended up with the six pints seen here. Looks like a second trip to the farmer's market is in order!

Since I have never 'pickled' what did you use to 'dill' them and did you just water process them?

You have inspired me to consider getting some pickles from our farmer's market....

Anne,

Let me check the name of the product I used. It was a "dill" seasoning specific for pickles and super easy to use. It's also the one I have for the "sweet" kind. I'm going to water process them this weekend. They are in the fridge right now, pickling further. They can actually pickle for up to two weeks, depending on how strong a dill flavor you prefer.

God Bless,
Jane

Ok I absolutely LOVE dill pickles but Jane, how on EARTH do you have the time and/or energy to do all that? I don't even get to laundry on most days!! You are officially a super-hero Mom.
