Headin' For High School!

We made a decision for high school for The Boy.

Finally.

Some of you may recall my request from those who have high-schooled before me..
.It only took us, you know, almost until he was in high school to decide where he was going. We were faced with three choices--all very good, but all very different.

The local public high school.

The diocesan co-ed Catholic high school.

The private all-boys Catholic high school.

We prayed. We visited. We discussed. We attended open houses. We prayed some more. We even took Grandma and Grandpa to visit. Then, still more prayers.

But when our decision was made, we were at peace.

Is there anything more affirming than that?

Anyone want to guess which school we picked?

My brother and his wife are in the process of transitioning their children into the area high school.
I think the oldes (16) is fully in now. At first she just took band and advanced chemistry.
She has love it.
New adventures ahead.

Not Fair!!!!!
If it's Marmion, my neighbor's son will be starting there next year!
That would be awesome to have them meet!

You know my opinion, but it's not for everyone (or every boy, I should say). I'll be waiting to read your decision...

I'd bet money that you decided to continue home schooling him.

I'll wait until this weekend to let you know for sure, but I will say this...he is the only one of my kids not to be homeschooled. Since we just started this year (and it was already his 8th grade year and things were going well) we decided not to mess with the status quo and leave him at our parish school.

Barb--Cliffhanger or adult ADD? Sometimes I can't tell the difference. ;-)

Oh to have so many choices! I know which I would choose if given those choices. As a product of single-sex education in high school, I am very partial to it. If it were an option in my area, you would see my children there! I loved attending an all-girls high school! My four brothers enjoyed their all-boys high school experiences. I don't think there are enough single-sex high schools around the country to even have it as an option. Good luck on your decision. I know it can't be easy.

Blessings,
Anne

So you're telling me that the relief and peace I'm currently feeling about finally making a similar choice about PRE-SCHOOL is short lived and I have to go through it all again in 10 years?!?!?!?

:)

Can't wait to hear your decision!

I guess co-ed Catholic. I'm sure whatever it is will be the right one!
