Since it's difficult for me to get out of the house with so many littles and we need two vehicles for transportation (our van only seats 8), this is a great ministry for our family.

We purchase packages of brand new tube socks from the dollar store. Now that my oldest son is 5, I feel like we can get out there and do some volunteer activities. With young ones, I felt it was too difficult, but you have reminded me that there are sooo many ways to help out in the community. I needed this reminder to get outside of myself. Thank you Jane!!TDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14321833617249608016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34028562.post-12397839790164538152008-07-11T21:40:00.000-05:002008-07-11T21:40:00.000-05:00Jane, I'm just now reading this so I'm responding ...Jane, I'm just now reading this so I'm responding late. My three oldest did lots of volunteer work when they were younger. When our oldest dd was 14 she and her two sibs would get up at 0'dark thirty every Saturday morning and I would drive them to the cathedral where they would get to cook and serve breakfast to the homeless. After they were done I would pick them up (had a newborn at home) Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14475526372267284324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34028562.post-78482260787181661572008-07-10T03:25:00.001-05:002008-07-10T03:25:00.001-05:00Jane, how clever of you! :-) God bless you abundan...Jane, how clever of you! :-) God bless you abundantly for all you do!Easter Almuenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09633972724785600623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34028562.post-16573066691450299982008-07-10T03:25:00.000-05:002008-07-10T03:25:00.000-05:00Jane, how clever of you! :-) God bless you abundan...Jane, how clever of you! :-) God bless you abundantly for all you do!Easter Almuenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09633972724785600623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34028562.post-77948092834334882592008-07-09T16:38:00.000-05:002008-07-09T16:38:00.000-05:00Wow. I have never done this but I thought that it would be a lovely idea. Have the kids all make cards for those soilders who are stationed in Iraq. The older ones can help write for the younger ones. You can then pass them on to A MIllion Thanks a Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
